Anatolian Clinic the Journal
of Medical Science (Anatolian Clinic) is an international, independent,
double-blind peer reviewed, free access and online publishing journal, which aims
to publish papers on all the related areas of Basic and Clinical
Science. The Journal has accepted the declaration of the Budapest Open
Access Initiative.
Manuscripts must consist
of original data that has not been published previously nor submitted for
publication elsewhere. Anatolian Clinic the Journal of Medical Science relies
on an open and transparent review process. The standard workflow of the review
process is as follows.
Pre-Review Process
Newly submitted manuscripts are pre-reviewed according to Journal's rules, and also statistical methods. In this process, statistical analysis, used in the article, is evaluated by the Biostatistics Editor and it is not sent to the referees when it has major errors. After this process, either suggested corrections or decision regarding rejection is sent to the author. Authors re-submit the revised manuscript to the journal after corrections. If it is accepted as appropriate, a member of the editorial board starts the review process by submitting the manuscript to at least two referees.
Review Process
After
Pre-Review process, the article is made available on the journal website. An
editorial board member is assigned to the article. The editorial board member
solicits a minimum of two reviews, usually to be completed within 2 weeks.
These reviews will be made available as soon as the solicited reviews are
online. The editorial board member, together with the journal editors, decides to
reject.The
authors are strongly encouraged to upload the final drafts of accepted versions
on their local websites.
Editorial Board of the Anatolian Clinic the Journal of Medical Science complies with the criteria of the International Council of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE), the World Association of Medical Editors (WAME), and Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). All articles are reviewed for similarity or plagiarism.
The Journal publishes a variety of manuscripts types including original research, invited review articles, review, case reports, technical reports, how-to-do guides and letters to the editor. Publication language is Turkish or English.
The Journal does not charge any article submission or processing charges.
The Journal is published three times in a year (January, May, September).

1.GENERAL INFORMATION
Taking into account international standards, the journal has set principles that should be followed during the preparation of a manuscript, and the journal should be compliant with these rules in the evaluation of documents, which is important in raising our standards for scientific publishing.
The most important standards accepted and implemented by international medical journals, which must be followed during the preparation of a manuscript to be sent to scientific journals, are as follows:
2. SCIENTIFIC RESPONSIBILITY
In the submitted scientific article, all authors should have a direct academic-scientific contribution.
3. ETHICAL RESPONSIBILITY
In all the studies regarding "human" subjects, the principle of conformity to Helsinki Declaration Principles is sought. In these studies, the authors are required to indicate that they have been working in accordance with these principles in the MATERIALS AND METHODS section of the article. In addition, the authors should have an "Institutional Review Board approval" from the ethics committees of the institutions and should obtain ‘Informed Consent Form’ from the subjects involved in the study.
If "Animals are used in the study,
the authors should state in the MATERIAL and METHODS section that their studies
have been approved by animal ethics committees and that they protect animal
rights in line with the "Guide for the Care
and Use of Laboratory Animals"
"Informed consent" should be obtained from patients regardless of the identity of the patient in case reports.
If there are institutions that provide
direct or indirect financial support to the work, the authors should state it on
the presentation. If none, it should be stated on the same page.
If it is necessary to obtain "Ethics Committee
Approval", the authors should declare that they have received the written
ethics approval in "Materials and Methods" section. The expression "Oral
ethical approval was obtained’ is not acceptable.
4. PUBLICATION / COPYRIGHT
All publications/copyrights of the manuscripts accepted for publication belong to our journal. The thoughts and suggestions in the writings are entirely the responsibility of the authors.
5. WRITING RULES
The publication language of the magazine is Turkish
and English. For all types of articles, "Editor Presentation Page"
and "Cover Page" must be prepared and should be sent to the journal
as a Word file separately at the time of application.
Below this page, there are sample templates for "Editor Presentation Page" and "Cover Page" both in Turkish and English. For each article, the authors should submit the "COPYRIGHTTRANSFER FORM" by signing. The form can be downloaded in Turkish or English under this page.
The rules for writing according to the types of manuscripts to be published in the journal are described below.
5.1.
ORIGINAL RESEARCH ARTICLES
The manuscripts should be submitted as a Microsoft Word ® document and written in 1.5 spaced, 12 point, justified and "Times New Roman" character. There should be a 2.5 cm space on the edges of the page and the page numbers should be placed on the upper right corner of the page. In order to comply with the principle of blind peer review, the "Editor Presentation Page" and "Cover Page" must be uploaded separately to the system. The authors should indicate the type of the manuscript they have submitted, that no other journal has been sent before, the persons and organizations, that fund the work, and their relationship to the authors on the Editorial Presentation page. The cover page should include a long title should be written in Turkish and English, a running title with a maximum of 40 characters, information regarding authors and of correspondence author, any suggested reviewers Sample templates can be downloaded from this page below.
In the first page of the main text, the long title of
the manuscript should be in Turkish and English, the title should be
capitalized, and the rest of the page should be left blank. Abbreviations
should not be used in the title.
The ABSTRACT section should be written in Turkish and English separately. This section should be less than 300 words. Abstracts should not contain any section of the text other than keywords. ABSTRACT must be structured. Subheadings of this section are,

Paragraphs should not start from
within.
The number of keywords to be written under the
abstract should be at least 2, maximum 6, and should be at the end of the
abstract in Turkish and English. The terms should be separated from each other
by a semicolon (;). For example; "Keywords: Word 1; Word 2; Word 3 ...
"Keywords in English should be given in accordance with" Medical
Subject Headings (MESH) ". For the keyword selection, the keyword can be
accessed by entering the appropriate word for the related topic on the page
that is clicked by clicking on the following link

After the ABSTRACT section, a new page
should start with the INTRODUCTION section. The main sections should include
the INTRODUCTION, MATERIALS AND METHODS, RESULTS, DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION,
REFERENCES and, if necessary, ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS. The title of the main sections
should be written in capital and bold letters and should be left-justified.
Paragraphs in the main text should begin with an indentation of 1 cm. Only the
first letter of the subtitles in the article should be capitalized and
italicized.
The first letter of the Table / Figure / Graph / Image given in the MATERIALS and METHODS and RESULTS sections should be capitalized and should be written in bold. Title of the tables should be placed on the relevant table, and title of the figures should be placed under the figure. Table style is shown below. It is also shown in the "Template" at the bottom of the page. The relevant tables and figures should be given separately after the REFERENCES together with the titles, and each must be on a separate page. Tables and Figures should be written in parentheses with the number at the end of the relevant sentence in the text. For example .... (Table 1) or ... (Figure 1) If an abbreviation and/or symbol is used on the figure and table, it should be explained with 8 font size under the table or figure. Images and photos should not be added to the manuscript but should be uploaded to the system as a separate file (image quality 300 dpi and in .jpeg, .bmp, .tif, etc. format). If previously published figures, pictures, tables and graphics have been used, written permission must be obtained and this permission must be indicated in brackets in the description of the figure, picture, table and graphics.
If data is analyzed in the study, statistical analysis title should be the last subheading of MATERIALS and METHODS section, and statistical methods used and package programs should be written.
Method names should not be given in the RESULTS section. A conflict of interest, financial support, donation and other editorials (English / Turkish evaluation) and/or technical assistance should be indicated in the ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS section.
The REFERENCES section should be written in accordance with Vancouver Style.
The publication processes applied in the Anatolian Clinic the Journal of Medical Science constitute the basis for the development and distribution of academic publications in an impartial and respectful manner. In this direction, the processes applied in our journal directly reflect the quality of the authors' work. Peer-reviewed studies are studies that embody and support the scientific method. At this point, it is important that all stakeholders of the process (authors, readers and researchers, publishers, referees and editors) comply with the standards of ethical principles. All stakeholders are expected to bear ethical responsibilities within the scope of the publication ethics of Anatolian Clinic the Journal of Medical Science
The principles published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) as open access are adopted in the ethical duties and responsibilities in the Anatolian Clinic the Journal of Medical Science
